Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using the Calton Auto Spares website at caltonautospares.co.za and purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

Products & Descriptions

Calton Auto Spares sells quality used automotive engines, gearboxes, and spare parts. While we make every effort to accurately describe our products:

  1. All parts are used unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  2. Product descriptions, compatibility information, and stock availability are provided in good faith and are subject to change.
  3. Images may be representative of the product type and not the exact item. Always confirm the part number and compatibility with our team before purchasing.
  4. We reserve the right to refuse a sale if a part is found to be unsuitable for the customer's intended use.

Pricing

All prices quoted are in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise specified. Prices are subject to change without notice. VAT may be applicable and will be indicated on your invoice. Export pricing and freight costs are calculated separately and will be quoted on request.

Orders & Payment

Orders are confirmed upon receipt of payment or a signed purchase order (for account holders). We accept the following payment methods:

  1. Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) — most preferred.
  2. Cash payment at our premises.
  3. Other payment methods as agreed in writing.

Parts will not be dispatched until payment has cleared. For export orders, a deposit may be required before stock is reserved.

Delivery & Risk

Risk of loss or damage to goods passes to the buyer upon delivery. Calton Auto Spares will take reasonable care in packaging parts for safe transit. We recommend the buyer arranges appropriate insurance for high-value shipments. Delivery timelines are estimates and are not guaranteed.

  1. Local delivery within Gqeberha is typically 1–2 business days.
  2. Nationwide delivery is typically 2–5 business days.
  3. Export orders — timelines vary by destination and shipping method.

Warranty & Returns

All engines and gearboxes are sold with a 3-month warranty. Full details of our warranty terms and return process are outlined in our Return Policy. Please read this before purchasing.

Limitation of Liability

Calton Auto Spares will not be liable for:

  1. Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products.
  2. Losses arising from improper installation of parts by unqualified persons.
  3. Damage to a vehicle resulting from use of a part in an incompatible application.
  4. Any loss exceeding the purchase price of the part in question.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Calton Auto Spares website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of Calton Auto Spares and may not be reproduced without written permission.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Eastern Cape, South Africa.
